Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
- The editor seems to be globally working
(I've just noticed a little texture issues)
- Loading a table and playing it works well, with some trick describes below
- Copy from a windows xp partition to ~/drive_c/windows/system32/ (or download from internet) :
urlmon.dll
- Install VBscript :
wine vbs56men.exe /Q
- Install DCOM98.exe (find this on internet) :
Set windows compatibility to win98 with winecfg.
Execute :
rm ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/ole32.dll
rm ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/oleaut32.dll
rm ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/olepro32.dll
rm ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/rpcrt4.dll
WINEDLLOVERRIDES=ole32,advpack=n wine DCOM98.EXE /Q
- Re-set windows compatibility to windows XP with winecfg
- Set sound to OSS, Hardware acceleration to Emulation with winecfg
- Textures in the editor are sometimes missing, but during gameplay are ok (it's a major bug, see for example Road Girls table). Without this bug I would rate as Gold.
It's
a bug when loading some jpeg files (which probably have some
unrecognized options), but exporting, resaving (with the gimp) and
reimporting wrong jpeg works.
- Future Pinball needs natives dlls for DCOM (minor bug).
