Flash CS3 failed to install component
by Boris Duchaj on Thursday December 11th 2008, 1:31
OK I have wine 1.1.10 on Ubuntu 8.04, the installer start fine, you select what you want to install and where. The installation starts, finishes with not wine error, but everythinhg installs except Flash CS3. On the postinstallation page of the installer is "Flash CS3 not installed..failed to install component".
Does anyone encountered this problem? I deleted the entire .wine folder, in winecfg I tried it with XP, Vista Server 2008 but the installer end always the same way.
Here gets FlashCS3 status silver which when I remember good, means it can be installed through the installer...
I was able to at least get it to try to load by installing it on a windows partition and then copying it over. I'm guessing I didn't get all of the registry values it needed or something, because I get an error saying: "You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help." Needless to say that if the installer doesn't work, you can't do that. :P
Using a cracked executable, it seems to go fine until it gets to loading the fonts, then crashes. So, nothing works yet.
