Additional Comments
There are two major problems.
First, the renderer doesn't work properly. After opening or zooming a PDF, you always have to _scroll_ the document in order to view the content.
Second, many dialogue boxes don't work. E.g. to save a document, you always have to use the "save" option since the "save as" dialoge won't be displayed.
Licence dialoge:
The "accept" button in the licence dialogue doesn't work. You have to modify the registry to pass over the licence dialogue (thanks to Florian Knodt!):
- Read the EULA somwhere else
- Start Acrobat once (some additional entries will be written to the registry)
- Open wine's regedit
- Go to HKCU/Software/Adobe/Adobe Acrobat/8.0/AdobeViewer
- Create a new REG_DWORD named "EULA"
- Set the value to 1

Bypass EULA-Display
by Florian Knodt on Wednesday December 19th 2007, 8:58
To bypass the EULA:
- Read the EULA somwhere else
- Open wine's regedit
- Go to HKCU/Software/Adobe/Adobe Acrobat/8.0/AdobeViewer
- Create a new RED_DWORD named "EULA"
- Set the value to 1
Adobe will now start. The "Getting Started2 will be displayed without images. If you try to open or create a PDF you will get a Box saying "A serious error has been detected and Adobe Acrobat 8 cannot continue. Please reinstall the application and try again". Looks like a problem while drawing the document-window:
