Old test results
The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
I followed previously posted advice for installation.
Install the latest Wine (in my case: 1.0-rc3)
Use ies4linux script to install IE 6 only
Make the .ies4linux my default Wine installation
Delete ~/.wine
Move (or Copy) ~/.ies4linux/ie6 to ~/.wine
Install Quicken 2006 Deluxe
wine (path_to_installer)
Copy entire Quicken Data folder from Windows to ~/.wine/drive_c (or prefered location)
On first run of Quicken Run Quicken you can choose to use your existing data:
Choose "I am already a Quicken User"
Choose "Open a file located on this computer"
Navigate to appropriate file
I was able to add data to the register, import data from bank, cc, and investment accounts (see 'What does not work'). If I use Internet Explorer (installed w/ ies4linux) I can open and import QFX files automagically
What does not
If I choose to "Download Transactions" from an account that requires visiting a web site, I can import the data; however, a crash occurs when I try to close the browser. This also occurs when I pop-out a "Full Browser". Not sure if this bug is related to Quicken or IE6. Imports succeed, but I must kill the apps (killall qw && killall iexplore) and wineserver (e.g. wineserver -k).
I experienced some strange behavior when viewing charts/graphs. They would reload repeatedly.
I have not taken the time to associate QFX to Quicken from native apps (e.g. native Firefox). In that case I would have to save the QFX file and manually import it from within Quicken.
What was not tested
Have not created new accounts, and various other functionality has not been explicitly tested, however, I've used it as I would from day to day.
