Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)

What works

everything I've tested so far:

  • installation
  • online activation (securom "feature")
  • configuration tool (needs native mfc71u.dll)
  • playing the game in virtual desktop mode @1024x768 on medium details
  • sound, music
  • loading, saving
  • intro, cutscenes

What does not
nothing I'm aware of

What was not tested
completing the game

cranking up the details to the highest

using a no-cd crack

Additional Comments

Digital distribution version of the game, contains Securom (online activation).

The game needs native d3dx9_36.dll to run.

In fullscreen mode wine doesn't restore the original screen resolution and gamma of the screen correctly on exit (just a minor annoyance).

I got acceptable framerate only using medium details, anything beyond that is slow on my mediocre hardware:
AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+
3 GB ram
Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT with driver 195.36.08

second mission not working
by Petar B. on Sunday July 24th 2011, 7:50
The second mission gets stuck on the entry video. Tried tweaking the video in in-game settings, no help. Emulating desktop doesn't seem to help. Any advice?

To make the sound work you can also go into configure wine and set the sound from full to emulation

In-game Sound

To restore the in-game sound, install WMFADist.exe as found in the /support folder of the game dvd.
