Old test results
The test results for this version are very old, and as such they may not represent the current state of Wine. Please consider submitting a new test report.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)

What works
Inputting your username and password, recording voicemail, sending messages, logging on.

What does not
All the buttons on the bottom, the mail icon, the voicemail inbox. The close button (x) on the top.

What was not tested
Changing settings, notifications, listening to voicemail, call function.

Additional Comments

It is a heck of a pain to close, you'll need to right click on the panel icon on the top to close it, any other way will not work. The messages lag a little. You'll also need to install the following things with winetricks: corefonts riched20 vb6run gecko ie6 and riched30. (Maybe some things are irrelevant, somehow I got it to work while installing them for another game to run). Besides that, it should be nearly fully usable.

by Rajamohan on Monday October 18th 2010, 0:36
After installation the text links are not displayed
do the following

1. open terminal
2. Type winetricks
3. select riched20, richd30, richtx32
4. click ok

After installation start gtalk again, it works like a charm

to quit the application, right click the tray icon and select exit

Works in WINE 1.3.3

The main window is blank, but after installing Richedit 3.0 from winetricks, it showed all information. Changing settings work. The main chat window did not, however, but installing ie6 from winetricks opened up everything. I can send images by drag n drop (I can't see the image myself, but it shows at the receiving end). So it's very very close to working 100%. ^^

Keeps disconnecting
by unimatrix on Saturday June 6th 2009, 12:21
When I sign-in to GTalk it connects for a second or two or three, but then it disconnects. It does connect because sometimes it shows online users for a moment. And then it connects again, and disconnects again, etc. Basically it keeps reconnecting forever.

This has been happening since Wine 1.1.21 (also tested w/ .22 and .23)
