Hammer Actually Working

After many days of trial and error trying to get Hammer to run I finally gave up, it was one error after another. I switched to the QuArK editor which after a few tweaks I managed to get running under wine 1.6-rc5 (AMD64), Xubuntu 13.04, nVidia 310 driver. Unfortunately when I went to compile my map VBSP.exe kept crashing. This set me off looking for alternative compile tools.
It compiles my maps perfectly, which is nice. What's far more interesting is that if I click Advanced > SDK Tools > Hammer World Editor then HAMMER LOADS PERFECTLY! No errors, no black viewports, just 100% working map editor.
