Failed due to out of date display drivers is no longer the error.

looks like the problem is within directdraw and has to do with the game creating an explicit backbuffer and trying to write to it. That's all I can determine right now. I am trying to get debug info to someone more capable than I.

Reason for crashing

It seems Dark Omen calls d3drm.dll, which is only supported as a stub atm. The earliest bug related to this I know of is 1202.
