Additional Comments
Prior to installing the game i have used winetricks to install directx9(the overkill package) and i have enabled glsl. In addition i had to modify autorun.cfg inside the AutoRun folder as well because it was not able to detect directx as installed, DirectXVersion=0.

keyboard input lag
by Triffid Hunter on Wednesday November 16th 2011, 10:03
I was experiencing a problem where every few seconds, the keyboard would get stuck for up to a second. The game itself would keep running, with frustrating results! After some googling, I found some related stuff for WoW.
In short, running 'xset r off' before starting the game solved the issue for me.

Abnormaly FPS - Slowly Gameplay
by Inukaze on Sunday October 24th 2010, 22:12
Well , i had this "bug" or something like that with the "Need For Speed Most Wanted 1.3"
Well , after you install , if you test the gameplay and like me , the Flow of Game its abnormaly slowly , and you know and haved the reqs of the game. you can try this fix
1 - Open your "wine regedit"
2 - Go to the "KEY" \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine
3 - If dont exist , you must create the "KEY" called "Direct3D"
4 - Inside the Direct3D , you should create a "String Value" called "OffScreenRenderingMode"
5 - The value for me , is "backbuffer" , i know are posible 3 values
a - fbo ( FramerBuffer Object ) , b - pbuffer , c - backbuffer
Well if you wanna know i had this values in that :
Confirmation of startup crash
by Nicolas Krzywinski on Monday June 21st 2010, 11:48
I can confirm the startup crash with current versions:
Lucid 10.04 with kernel 2.6.32-23
Wine 1.1.43
1. Installation works (from original CD with game version 1.2)
2. Update to v1.3 works
3. Startup intro and video and welcome blabla works
4. Creation of game profile at startup works
5. Crash after loading game profile
Overriding d3dx9_36 makes no difference - no single output line is altered.
The output tells something with eventlog.
The exact crash and output is reproducible and immediately after clicking on "proceed" button after game profile load.
