What works

Editor

Effects

Layer filters

Quick fix

Adding a single third-party brush at a time

Almost all general tools

Basically everything except for those listed below

What does not

The clone tool and healing brush don't work because there is a conflict with the alt-click. In Ubuntu there is a default setting that makes alt-click move the window instead and you'd need to figure out how to get rid of it. Spot healing brush is fine.

The organizer won't load because it cant read the "my catalog.psa" file.

The liquefy command crashes when it gets overloaded with too many edits.

Adding multiple third-party brushes.

Opening the program through the  "Welcome Window"

What was not tested
Organiser
some filters and effects
adding effects (I tried but couldn't remember how to load them)
doing only a few edits in liquefy and seeing what happens

Additional Comments

The anti-aliasing on the program font doesn't work and it's extremely slow.
To run you have to open the Welcome Window (just click the regular PSE5 link) and in the bottom left corner (where it says "Open With: Welcome Window") click and select "Editor" in the drop down menu.
It's otherwise usable!
