I have Visual Basic and Visual C++ runtimes and DirectX installed.  The application installs properly but fails to start properly.

The following information is old. It now works perfectly!!!!

To work around a bug (basically in the app _and_ in wine) you have to download this file: http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=7651

and then do 'regedit 1964.reg'

Then is starts fine, needs further testing........

yes it does start now, but I still can't load a rom, so it effectively is still broken. Thanks for the tip though!

Startup bug is fixed in current git; open new bug or other issues
