i had a microsoft runtime library error during the installation
To fix it i installed vcredist.exe (the last version of microsoft visual C++) that's fixed too the installation of Bryce 5.5
The Microsoft Visual C++ runtime files are needed to run DAZ|Studio 1.7.1.x .
These are
available in a file called vcredist.exe or vcredist_x86.exe .
Either
version appears to work.
vcredist_x86.exe is available here at Microsoft. Please note that a Windows licence is needed to download this.
It is recommended that wine_gecko is installed for online registration to work.
WARNING
DAZ Studio appears not to run properly under the ATI proprietary fglrx drivers at present. If you are using an ATI card and experience problems, try the open source XOrg drivers.
If you are successfully using DAZ Studio 1.7.x with the fglrx drivers, could you please report which version of the fglrx drivers you are using and any xorg.conf settings that might be relevant.
