Ubuntu Onieric/Linux Mint
by Aoi Yukino on Monday December 12th 2011, 13:28
Has anyone got this to work properly on Ubuntu Onieric/Mint 11. I can get it to install and start up, but I get a weird display -- I just see the cards display on the opening, and the buttons display too high up. Can't figure out what I'm missing.... >_

Only works once per install
by michael on Saturday December 18th 2010, 21:23
Wine 1.2.1, Ubuntu 10.10

Works great, but only once. Have to reinstall every time!

Also, mouse seems to be calibrated below the actual buttons, not the end of the world but would be great to see a fix.

PKR Update
by Pasquale Pompeo on Thursday June 18th 2009, 9:53
A new PKR update doesn't let the app run on wine anymore. The client starts but it is impossible to click on the buttons, so it is impossible to go on. No more pkr on linux for now..

Does not work with 1.1.22
by mase on Friday May 22nd 2009, 19:48
PKR worked find until 1.1.21. The only broken thing was
multitable. Even real money games did not make any problems.
But with wine-1.1.22 PKR does not run anymore. After login,
it crashes to the PKR crashmanager.

PKR & intel video cards ?
by RoLeGros on Thursday March 26th 2009, 13:01
Hello.

I'm having trouble playing pkr : the game runs fine, except the graphics are all messy: you can't really see the other players or the table, just the game info and control buttons.

Anyone had it working ?

Mouse alignment fix
by Jeroen ten Berge on Monday March 16th 2009, 20:05
This worked 4me:
The game is configured to play in a virtual XGA screen.
In game go to config->graphics choose fullscreen.
Now my mouse works like it should
The next thing i like to test but not done yet is to choose a higher virtual resolution to see wether the fullscreen mode gets bigger

Btw, i don't think gold status is fair ! It is not stable enough to play like it does on windows ! Multitable play is still a no go.

Stability
by Jeroen ten Berge on Friday March 13th 2009, 1:02
Hi there,

Although PKR is playable with a nvidia card, playing realmoney is not recommended, in play when you join an extra table it regularly screwes up the graphics so you can't see what's happening anymore, you can stick by playing on a single table though.

Hope these issue's will be fixed soon in either wine or the drivers, can't be sure where the problem is.

Anyone tried with software acceleration instead of hardware ?

Mouse alignment
by Joseph Draig on Wednesday March 11th 2009, 23:33
I've noticed in Wine 1.1.16 that the cursor doesn't seem to quite align with the buttons in the PKR UI, so in some cases you have to click above things. This can be quite tiresome with sliders and what-not. I don't suppose you know if this is version/setup specific? Have you experienced anything similar?
