Launching rom, playing game, quick save/load...

Sound !! (I guess you NEED to tick the emulate thing...)


What does not

Menu (title bar and status bar) get black on some condition. But that's not SO a problem

Joystick, Netplay

BE CAREFULL :

If you show off the menu, press ESCAPE (NOT "E" !!)
Other stuff :

S = SHIFT
C = CONTROL
A = ALT


NOTE : There is a cool launcher with ALT + LEFT

HOWTO

I suggest you to use PlayOnLinux in order to make a wineprefix

 

( http://www.playonlinux.com/  => Play on linux => Téléchargements )

 

Create a liveinstall  thing, tick a *.exe, and close it.

Copy the *.zip to /home/user/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/nestopia and extract it.

Create a launcher to the *.exe

Enjoy !

 

 

HOW-TO : Nestopia for linux (native, with different front-end)

Go to http://rbelmont.mameworld.info/?page_id=200

If  you got a RPM-based distro, take the RPM.

If you use debian, ubuntu, you have to compile :

Install package :

sudo apt-get install build-essential libalsaplayer-dev libsdl1.2-dev libgtk2.0-dev libasound2-dev

Get the nestopia 1.37 source
Install the overlay code on it
Compile ( ./configure make sudo make install ) 
 Enjoy !

 
Key shortcut

Here are the key shortcut, since it is buggy on Linux+Wine :
