Left 4 Dead is a multiplayer co-operative survival horror first-person shooter game from Valve Corporation. The game has been built using Valve's Source engine.
Left 4 Dead pits four human playable or AI controlled survivors of an apocalyptic pandemic
against hordes of aggressive "Infected". The Survivors' goal is to help
each other make it through various scenarios to safety. The Infected
are controlled by an AI that dynamically balances difficulty and mood
depending on the players' progress and situation. In an alternate game
mode, human players can control up to four mutated Boss Infected with
special abilities and cooperate to stop the Survivor players. |

Left 4 Dead 2 is the sequel to Valve Corporation's award-winning Left 4 Dead. Like the original, Left 4 Dead 2 is set during the aftermath of an apocalyptic pandemic, and focuses on four survivors fighting against hordes of the infected. The survivors must fight their way through levels, interspersed with safehouses that act as checkpoints, with the goal of reaching a rescue vehicle at the campaign's finale. The gameplay is procedurally altered by an artificial intelligence engine dubbed the "Director" that monitors the players' performance and alters the scenario to provide a dynamic challenge for the players as they progress. Several new features will be introduced, such as new types of infected, melee weapons, and a story-arc that connects each of the game's five campaigns together.

Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is the sequel to the game that put
class-based, multiplayer team warfare on the map. This year's most
anticipated online action game, TF2 delivers new gametypes, a signature
art style powered by Valve's next generation animation technology,
persistent player statistics, and more.
Unlike other class-based games that offer a variety of combat classes only, Team Fortress 2 packs a wild variety of classes which provide a broad range of tactical abilities and personalities, and lend themselves to a
variety of player skills.
Play as the flame-throwing Pyro, the room clearing Heavy, or the Spy, a
master of disguises. Other classes include: Scout, Sniper, Medic,
Engineer, Demoman, or Soldier.
TF2 features the most exciting and balanced class-based action ever created.
Almost 2 years later and Valve keeps updating this classic game! 2/3 of classes got new weapons and achievements. Not mentioning awesome accessories like hats and medals (though cosmetic only). |
