PureEdge Viewer for Windows
|
PureEdge viewer is an e-form editor used by large businesses, the US Government (IRS, DOD, etc) and probably more. PureEdge forms are ASC-GZIP compressed XML documents with a file extension of XFD or XFDL. File headers usually (always?) begin with:
'application/x-xfdl;content-encoding="asc-gzip"'
Someone has written a perl script to decompress the form and output the XML. It can be found by looking around here:
http://groups-beta.google.com/groups?q=%22content-encoding%22+%22asc-gzip%22
Here's what PureEdge Solutions inc has to say:
PureEdge increases organizational effectiveness and productivity by enhancing business processes using PureXML™ e-forms solutions.
