Additional Comments

Used winecfg to specify Win 7.
In dvd decrypter settings I selected "I/O" tab and "ASPI - WNASPI32.DLL" as the interface.
Under "Device" tab, I unchecked "Disable Media Change Notification" as it was complaining that it could not set the value on app start.
Did not need to modify dvd mount point shortcuts.

If you want DVD Decrypter to work without SCSI emulation you have to choose SPTI in DVD Decrypter settings (I/O tab) and set Windows version to nt40.

To use the DVD drive in your linux box, do the following:

(Note, if you mount a DVD using your OS's mount program, wine should discover it when using Auto-Configure devices under winecfg).

(Assumes your Dvd is /dev/hdd, mounted on /media/cdrom/, and will be device D: in wine)

cd ~/.wine/dosdevices

rm d:

ln -s /media/cdrom -s d:

ln -s /dev/hdd -s d::

(Notice the double colon on the second symlink)

Shutdown DVD Decrypter and open it back up. Make sure the I/O interface is set to SPTI - Microsoft.

Rip and Enjoy :-)
