1.0.1"Fortress2 Blue" is an online turn-based shooting game.Gold1.1.40110

Download this game and execute downloaded *.exe file by Wine normally. Then you can play this game basically.

In addition...

For displaying russian characters

  • Execute Wine with russian locale (e.c. exec "LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 wine *.exe").
  • Windows font "lucon.ttf" is the most suitable, I think. Copy it or other fonts to "$HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/Fonts".

For playing MIDI BGM

You need DLL Overrides and a bit more.

  • Download "DirectX 9.0c Redistributable" from
  • Extract downloaded *.exe. "cabextract" is useful for this.
  • Extract in extracted *.exe.
  • Copy dmband.dll, dmime.dll, dmloader.dll, dmstyle.dll, dmsynth.dll and dmusic.dll to "$HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32".
  • Execute winecfg and override above 6 DLLs.
  • Copy gm16.dls to "$HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/drivers" and rename it to "gm.dls".

For stabilization

I got below repeated warnings and was not able to play this game after getting them.

fixme:d3d:stretch_rect_fbo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_FRAMEBUFFER_OPERATION (0x506) from glBlitFramebuffer() @ device.c / 6434

Add a registry below. I have been able to play the game with this registry.

For example, do...

  • Save above 2 lines to "some.reg".
  • Execute regedit with Wine (e.c. exec "wine regedit some.reg").
NOTE: after version 1.1.33
For playing MIDI BGM, built-in DLLs cannot be used.

Wine has 6 DLLs (dmband.dll, dmime.dll, dmloader.dll, dmstyle.dll, dmsynth.dll and dmusic.dll) on "$HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32" by default. But we need DLL Overrides written in the above HOWTO. We have to replace built-in DLLs with Windows native ones.
