MySQL Maestro

This is the best MySQL admin tool I have found, and I tried out quite a few before settling on MySQL Maestro.  Top features from their website are:
  • Support for all the MySQL server versions from 3.23
  • Easy database object management
  • Database Designer (GUI tool much like Access's, REALLY GREAT!)
  • Data management: editing, grouping, sorting and filtering abilities
  • Handy SQL Editor with code folding and multi-threading
  • Visual Query Builder with support for subqueries and UNIONS
  • Working with remote MySQL servers via SSH or HTTP tunnel
  • Data export/import to/from the most popular formats
  • Powerful BLOB Viewer/Editor
One of *my* favourite features is a section in the table viewer that lists all the other tables that have foreign keys connected to the table.  Very handy for tracking down relationship issues.

The interface is really self-explanatory; if you know anything about MySQL and DB admin tools you will be flying through it in about 10min.  Just great stuff!

NOTE: Desktop switching

When switching desktops on Ubuntu 9.10, Wine seems to go a bit haywire with the window management.  The window may disappear with no way to access it, or may appear only on the first desktop.

Also, moving MySQL Maestro from one desktop to another will also cause the window to disappear.
