The Application is developed by one of the biggest Business 2 Business platforms for international business - Alibaba.com. The Application in its aims must provide easiest way for business to communicate with each other. Use of it is available only for registered users (free membership is available). The usage is free, but protocol is not public and application sources are not available.
This is the only official way to communicate on that b2b platform (except mailing).
Many users have asked developers if they can provide any (even may be very limited in functionality) version for Linux or BSD (or MacOS) users. The representatives used to say that they keep working on that, but so far (more than 3 years) they have not posted any progress.
This application is very important for many businessman who has their business in China or with Chinese companies.
Many of them (including native Chinese) would love to use this application on their Linux/BSD, but so far it is impossible.
