Duke Nukem Forever, which has been in development for at least the past 12 years, is the greatly anticipated total re-make of the DOS based Duke Nukem 3D 1st person shooter, which was released in 1996. Although the content, graphics, gameplay etc. have been completely rearchitected, it stays true to the original Duke Nukem 3D style and attitude, especially with respect to the antagonist's ( Duke Nukem ) predilection to hypersexuality ( "Babes/Chicks","Boobs"), drugs ("Who drank all my beer?"), extreme violence and adult humor ("Your ass is grass and I'm the weed whacker"), weapons, lewd behavior, extreme preternatural strength and brawn, "flavorful" vocabulary ("I'm gonna tear off your head and shit down your neck") -- Basically Duke's been on hiatus and enjoying the fame and fortune he won by saving Earth's ass but now the alien invaders are back and they're stealing Earth's women, especially the hot ones, and they drank all of Duke's beer. It's time to bring on the pain. Aside from this stereotypical Duke style, Duke Nukem Forever has been created from-the-ground-up with entirely new content and graphics, a new variation on the Duke Nukem 3D storyline, new enemies, new "characters", new weapons and a custom entirely new modern game/graphics/ai engine made for modern graphics cards with GPUs.
The game contains explicit nudity, extreme violence and gore, strong language, explicit sexual content, adult humor and drugs and alcohol, so it's not for the faint of heart or the easily disturbed or offended.
