The TradeSkillMaster desktop application is used for a suite of addons for the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft (WoW), called TradeSkillMaster (TSM). Its main use is to download information about the in-game economy while the game itself is not running and makes the information available for the addons to use. This frees the user from the task to manually scan data by using said addons in-game.
While the application is running it will periodically download data related to the in-game auction house from Blizzard API. The program can use the data to determine notable deals and notify the user so that he may login and buy or sell in-game items.
In addition to this the user can create and restore backups of downloaded data.
