The MMOUI Minion could help the ones having trouble with Curse Client past version 4.X (when wine support broke).
It is still a beta provided by ZAM network, the company behind http://www.wowinterface.com/ among other sites.
For the few Add-Ons it doesn't cover you can still update manually as the minion probes new addons in your folder and try matching online (just like curse client do, byt on wowinterface database instead).
