A.I.M.: Artificial Intelligence Machine (usually referenced as A.I.M.) is an open-world action RPG developed by Russian SkyRiver Studios and published by 1C Company (1C Entertainment since late 2018) which was published in February 27, 2004. It is the first installment in the A.I.M. video game series, followed by the A.I.M. 2: Clan Wars released in February 17, 2006.
A.I.M. incorporates open-ended (or "sandbox") gameplay mechanics. The main quest can be postponed or ignored as the player explores the expansive game world, follows side-quests, interacts with different clans and buildings, battles mechanoids and rises in their own rating. The player is free to go anywhere in the accessible parts of the Range, which is divided into the subzones known as the sectors. The game will end when one of two endings in chosen in the External laboratory.
It uses DirectX v8.1 3D output with widescreen (added in game version 1.06) capabilities.
