The setting for this "space opera" game is the 23rd Century, which in a galactic time-frame can be roughly described as just before the insanity that was Buck Rogers and just after the Space Odyssey. A civil war has ripped Earth and our Solar System apart for more than 100 years, claiming millions of casualties. At the end, the losing faction, the Aliance, in a desperact act sends several sleeper ships off to deep space with hundreds of people and enough equipment to allow them to start over. Nearly a thousand years after the colonies started you get to prosper in the flurishing economy of both legal and illegal factions. Growing relations with them on the way, staying neutral is a challange in it self. Trading, bounty hunting, mining, missions or looting. Some of many things waiting for you to explore.
