TopoCad is a Geographic Information System whose development began in 1993. TopoCad is a project developed with free libraries.
it is a tool for creating geographic data, from the survey and various acquisitions to management of Geographic Information System through calculations, geometric constructions, conversions, transformations ... etc.
TopoCad does not have a Client / Server architecture and is single-user oriented
TopoCad manages vector graphic data in memory, so use for large amounts of data is limited by memory. This is a 2D GIS.
Matrix graphics data occupies much more space can be managed in memory or by disk files. Other data (literals and documents) are handled by DBF tables.
