Gamebase is a flexible emulation frontend. It allows people to set up a database (a specific "gamebase") of games and related media to create an attractive representation of the gaming library of a retro computer system.
Gamebase appears to be no longer actively developed - last version is from 2010 - but it is still being used in the emulation community.
One of the most popular gamebases is Gamebase 64, aka GB64, which aims to be the "ultimate" collection of Commodore 64 games. GB64 remains in active development and very roughly annually comes out with a new version.
