wizmo

Simple but impressive utility, programmed in assembly (but using Windows API functions!), that implements various simple utility functions, listed below. The names (left) are the parameters passed to the executable.

E.g. wizmo blackout will blackout the screen.

The below list is based mostly on the reference in the program (to access it run wizmo without parameters). A similar list is at http://www.grc.com/wizmo/wizmo.htm :

• blackout - blackout monitor
• desktop - sets monitor to color of desktop
• blank - activate screensaver
• autoblank= enables (autoblank=1) or disables (autoblank=0) automatic screensaver
• monoff - Turns off monitor
• standby - Computer set to standby
• hibernate - Computer hibernates
• logoff - current user logged off
• exit - exits Windows
• reboot - restarts computer
• open - open CDROM drive
• open= - open a particular drive (e.g. open=d:)
• close - close CDROM
• close= - close given drive
• volume= - set volume from 0-100
• mute= - mute volume
• play= play given wav
• wave= set volume of this such wav files
• shake= sets sensitivity of mouse for graviton
• quiet= silence wizmo
• graviton - activate screensaver
• particles - set number of particles in graviton
• line - particles aligned diagonally
• trails= particle trail length
• gravity - particle attraction
• sun= - gravitational sun in center of screen
• blackhole= - blackhole (essentially same as sun, but invisible)
• infinite= - particles don't stop at screen edge
• elastic= - screen edges elastic, so particles don't lose energy on collision
• stop - particles stop completely on collision with screen borders
