European Air War

When it was released in 1999, European Air War, or simply "EAW", was the first flight sim to allow large battles that would make a WWII fight remotely realistic. Waves of bombers, packs of fighters, flak going off... it was immersive like nothing before it. Combining that with reasonable graphics (but nothing too impressive) and a passable physics engine made EAW one of the highlights of the flight sim world.
