GRLevel3 is a Windows viewer for live NEXRAD Level III data from the NWS Radar Product Central Collection Dissemination Service.
GRLevel3 uses patent pendiÂng direct radial rendering techniques to display smoothed radial radar data at high speeds on graphics hardware. The technique combines novel radial geometry primitives and multitexturing to allow for arbitrary, high-frequency transforms between physical units and color space. The technique covers both the fixed function and programmable graphics pipelines, and higher order smoothing in the programmable pipeline.
