Hostsman
Hostsman is a program that manager the systems hostsfile. This file maps hostnames to IP addresses. This is an alternative to the slower DNS. Your browser will then display an error (or an empty spot) on pages that contain the ads hosted by the blocked host. Hostsman gives you the option to:
- Update the hostsfile with entrys that contain ad-servers (from third party sources)
- Scan the hostsfile for hijacks/errors etc
- Start a small server to load pages even faster (bundled with the program)
- And more ...
