Bionic Command: Rearmed (BC:R) is a remake of the classic NES game: Bionic Commando. The graphics have been updated to using full 3D but the game still retains its side-scrollergameplay. Some people call this style of game, 2.5D. The game also uses the latest in physics technology taking advantage of PhysX.
The gameplay still uses the grappling hook to enable your player (Nathan Spencer) to swing around the levels. The NES version pioneered this style by not allowing the player to jump; instead, the player had to use the grappling hook. It was a great concept and it still works in today's games.
In addition to the single player game, there is also 2 player co-op and four player death match. These modes are not on-line meaning that you can only enjoy multiplayer with your friends that are physically in the same room as you on the same computer (no LAN support either).
