Have a N.I.C.E. day
- also known as Axelerator
in the anglophone area - is a racing game developed by a German company named Synetic and was published in 1997. It was very famous in those days, since there weren't too many fun racing games around, especially not of that special genre.
There are several things that make N.I.C.E. a very funny game. First, there are lots of tune-ups, weapons and additional parts like nitro accelerator, a support-system of avoid crashing barriers, etc.
These items are pretty important to master the difficulties during the racing tracks. There are loops, ramps and - of course - seven other computer opponents, each one holding an arsenal of weapons and tuned items for himself.
The main part of the game is driving the championship. But there's always the possibility to drive a 1 on 1 duel against an opponent to earn some additional cash or points for the championship.
After the player has won the lowest league, also known as the Impala league, the player has the chance to ascend to the next league, where everything begins from new, except there are harder enemies, more expensive parts and a brand-new, faster car (Mustang).
At the end of each race, a driver from the Hellcat league (the highest one) always judges you and your "poor" driving skills in a very cynical way, which is great fun. At least the first few times...

And those things are very
Even twelve years after the release the game is great fun to play. There is also a sequel of the game named N.I.C.E. 2 (see Wine's AppDB
