What works

simulator starts and pretends it works, but its very unstable. it can be used for testing...but its pain but there is one big advantage of using this in wine... if debugged program has some problem simulator often crash without saying what is problem so its hard to find cause of it. in wine backtrace is shown in console and sometimes it helps to at least identify module or library where it happened

What does not

bugs which happen also in windows xp so they are most probably bugs of simulator: - when exit from simulator is requested very often it locks - when you start simulator sometimes it remains stuck on reset(just eats cpu and does nothing visible) bugs which are 100% wine specific: - in delete dialog, storage is reported to be 1.8GB and it doesn't matter how big RAM size is set to simulator - when you install new application it works. when you try to install newer version of already existing application it sometimes works, sometimes simulator crashes, sometimes it shows locking errors but when you press 'ignore' it works. very often after such crash when you start simulator again it seems ton have corrupted image of its storage (SimSlotDriverVolume0,SimSlotDriverVolume1) because some programs miss icons and reported size in delete dialog is much smaller then it should be - attempt to save storage snapshot will cause crash immediately these seem to me to be related...but i have no idea where to look for cause

cooperation between simulator and debugger, sound, loading of storage snapshot (because saving doesn't work)
