What works

(spoiler alert, pretty much everything)

  • Pen tool, as well as every other tool.
  • Symbols.
  • Effects.
  • Audio (works as well as on windows)
  • Motion tweens.
  • Timeline.
  • Commands.
  • Flash player (every version)
  • Action script (every version)
  • Publish.
  • Saving and loading big files (100+mb)

What does not

  • Pressure sensitivity doesn't work but the button on the brush to enable it still appears, using it makes the brush not show the stroke in real rendering i recommend not using that feature.
  • Fonts are not the same as windows, if your file contains fonts from windows they will be replaced to fonts on your system, if you make a file with linux fonts they will be replaced in windows, this can be messy if you want to send a file to a friend or someone on another OS, the text will have different size and different positions depending on the fonts.
  • When using the pen tool in ink mode for a long time some frames get bugged and when you draw on them the strokes render in other places and do weird things, I recommend using the smooth option without smoothing, pretty much the same as ink but without bugs and with just a bit of stroke correction.
  • In the timeline when you play your animation or work it lags on the second frame after the frame you started the playback for a fraction of a second, this might make timing difficult if you work on fbf animation or 2d animation, however in actionscript and such this might not be a big issue. THIS DON'T HAPPEN IF YOU USE THE SWF PLAYER (ctrl+enter or Control->Test movie)
