For the note entry echo to function properly, MOZART *REQUIRES* a software or hardware synthesizer
recognized by WINE/ALSA, and selected in the MOZART menu: Global preferences | MIDI port. Timidity++ in
server mode works well for this; so does Jack/Fluidsynth. Without a true synth port, it is possible to select
MIDI input and MIDI output ports that cause an I/O feedback. This can cause a note to automatically
and repetitively enter itself over and over, making the program un-usable and un-closeable without killing
WINE from a console. Thus:
$killall -9 wineserver
$killall -9 winedevice.exe
To avoid this condition, do not select "wine MIDI mapper" as a MIDI output port, do not enable MIDI in, and
for overkill, mute the selections under: Global preferences | MIDI echo.
Or just use Timidity++
