What works
The program installs easily and opens, all formatting appears correct and most associations work correctly. You can open a drawing edit it apply new settings edit your panels and import custom edited panels from you \system folder. For some reason it recognizes \\my documents as your \home and installs visual cadd 5 there not sure if this is a wine related issue.
Scalz(tm) an add on program also installs and functions properly this is a for pay 50 dollar add on and highly useful for productivity reasons. it comes bundled on the disc and has a free 30 day trial.
file associations can be changed in the path applet window in the utilities applet. however there are some dll association problems (please see what does not work)
What does not
The help file does not work through the help pull down tab. It causes the program to crash with the following dialog c000005 0 VCADD5.EXE 400000. It does kind of work through the panel bar brought up when editing specific functions like line attributes. although it won't allow you to exit, and has to be terminated manually.
File associations for symbol manager do not work properly. symbol manager does work and you can open and use symbols but no preview shows up when your placing them. Also load symbol does not work it gives the following error dialog's "path does not exist", it then shows a visual cadd has to close dialog
with error "c0000005 7ebe02e5 comdlg32.dll 7ebd0000"

Additional Comments
Using help file prompts gecko to install. help file can be easily navigated to and viewed in any .chm viewer. symbol load would be very useful although it doesn't render the program useless under linux it's enough of an issue that it shouldn't be used under linux. it's unusual that the folder association works via the symbol manager applet but not directly in the symbol manager perhaps this is a DLL association problem that tri-tools would be willing to rectify. version 5.0.5.134
