SpamPal has unfortunately not been updated in a long time, and is missing out on new technologies to filter out spam. Although this version is already the latest stable version , but it was released on 24-Oct-2005
However, there is no doubt that the Spampal is still an easy-to-use and functional client-end Spam Filtering utility.

What works
Everything works!
Email Whitelist, Blacklist, Filtering Status, System Tray Icon, Message Tags, Logging, Access Control, DNSBLs, All plugins (RegexFilter, Bayesian, URL Body, and etc...)
What does not
In my Ubuntu 7.04~7.10 (w/o firewall installed), the Spampal's POP3 port number must be configured to 10000+, otherwise the connection won't get through.
Workarounds
What was not tested
99% tested, I'm running Spampal for my Thunderbird Email everyday for more than a year. It averagely filters out 1K Spam Mails for me a day!
Hardware tested
