What works

All patching routines that can be accessed through the menus seem to work as expected. Fonts look correct and are in the proper locale (English).

What does not

- Rom Patching Options: In the "Write NDS" dialog under the "Read Method" tab, there should be an option in the right column called "Force R/W" with a checkbox to turn the feaure on or off. This option does NOT appear under WINE and therefore this feature is not able to be turned off (defaults to enabled). This is only important for a certain few ROMS but in those cases it MUST be turned off. - NDSSAVE files: As stated in previous report entitled "M3 Perfect", the .DAT file is not written to the NDSSAVE directory on the SD card. To workaround this problem one must write the empty 256kB .DAT file to the NDSSAVE directory manually. The NDSSAVE feature is important because if the file is not present on the card, then the game cannot save. - Can't Minimize the Window: The program does not normally allow itself to be minimized, but if it is forcibly minimized in X then the window turns into a tiny square and the program is then unusable and must be restarted. - OK/Cancel buttons: In the "Open" dialog, the OK button is partially cut off and the cancel button does not appear. This does not interfere with functionality. Also in the "Write NDS" dialog the OK and Cancel buttons appear but do not work. To start the process, one must press the Enter key on the keyboard. - Title bars: The title bars under Windows are a nonstandard shape, and they are rendered incorrectly in WINE. There is a transparent rectangle in the title bar of all windows created by this program. This appears to be merely cosmetic.

Additional Comments

Usage instructions: When the program is loaded, a dialog pops up and the user selects whether to patch for Compact Flash or SD card. The user then finds the directory containing the ROM files to be patched (for either GBA or NDS). Then, the main program loads. The user browses to the location of the SD-card in the left pane. Then, the button entitled "Write NDS" or "Write GBA" is pressed. The ROM is loaded into a temporary folder, and the user is given the opportunity to tweak the patching process. After pressing OK, the ROM is patched and written to the SD card.
