I have a review from Archive.org, which I'll put here : 

This program is good and user friendly for a person who used to use Flash 8 (ME), and I have pros and cons for Flash MX.

Pros :User-friendly

Easy to make animations (I'm an animator)

ActionScript 1 is the EASIEST to use

Introduced backwards-compatibility saving

Easy to get the full version for free legally

Works WONDERS in WineHQ (I use Ubuntu)

My only (very small) cons are :

Too hard for my friend Berayah

and it's way too cluttered sometimes

Anyway, this version is #1 for me, and Flash 8 is in 2nd, Flash CS6 is in 3rd though, because it's buggy.
