The game itself paired with the 2.3 wrapper.
What does not
With version 1.3.22 the mouse would flicker and when moved over a vast distance (ie more than the width of the mouse itself) would disappear before reappearing again when one stops moving the mouse. The game would work a lot better running on 1.1.26 also with the 2.3 wrapper but would only yield a silver rating as the mouse would disappear when full screen-ed but is still clickable, just have to move it around and hope to god something gets highlighted so you know where the mouse is.. Out of full screen though, it works flawlessly with this solution.
What was not tested
The uninstaller. Not sure it it's even included...

Hardware acceleration is enabled by default, but you will be asked if you want to disable it if it causes problems on your system when closing the game.
Due to a bug in the game, hardware acceleration is reenabled if you hit escape during a game, and then return to it. Try not to do this if you have to use the game with hardware acceleration disabled.
