Installing on a clean Wine: 1) winetricks sound=oss orm=pbuffer glsl-enable vcrun2005 vcrun2008 dotnet20 2) Installing 3ds max 2008 Important! When you install, uncheked "Install the satellite service for network rendering with mental ray." (To do this go to Configuration, Next to the Mental Ray Satellite). Configuration Compete. Install. During the installation showed the message "WsCommCntrUi1Res.dll not found". Just click OK and wait for the end of the installation. 3) And now, we have 2 ways: a) Just to start working. But there are no pictures of some buttons, and everything else works. b) Run "winetricks comctl32". All the icons will work, but you can not go to other folders when you open (creation, etc.) file, and everything else will work. Personally, I think this is more successful. You can copy the previous projects in the main folder and work with them.
