A very solid version but still only in the beta stages. It is possible to play through the game from start to finish without much problem.
Glitches exist but they do not impair the ability to enjoy the game. Save game features are implemented and work well but it is still recommended to hit the save button more than once to make sure. Game crashes rarely occur during the course of normal game play.
Note: Testing was done with default recommended Frame Skip version.

What works
The game doesn't require an install, only a folder is recommended for the application and the automatically generated saved games folder. Running the game works without a problem. The introductions, saved game menu, and levels explored so far all work without problems. Joystick control has been tested and works as it should.
What does not
So far everything works as expected and I don't foresee anything that would keep it from working as it would under Windows.

I'm not sure if it's because I stopped playing and came back to the game or if it's the update for Wine since they happened at the same time, but the game ran smoother during deaths when it would normally slow down a little. Your performance speed may vary based on your system. Tested with a 1.6Ghz AMD Turion64, 1.37GB of RAM, and a 128MB ATI video card.
