For midi music should be installed fluidsynth like said in Wine MIDI tutorial. For midi playback one should disable DirectMusic Engine in game menu; on some wine versions game crashes if it tries to play midi with DirectMusic, so better disable directmusic at very first start; then enable mod music if disabled. Mod and OGG music plays regardless of DirecMusic setting.
