This almost gets Platinum, but the with PunkBuster not working I can't give it that as it doesn't work as per Windows. One bonus is that you no longer need to run the program in a window or use the config file hack to force the resolution.

As of wine v1.2 this is no longer needed.
As at Wine v0.9.58 Battlefield Vietnam works well, but there are some changes that need to be made to get it working and you have two choices, they are both simple and it really depends on whether you want to play the game full screen or not. I would strongly recommend that you run BFV in a window, but the choice is yours
Start winecfg, go the Graphics tab and select "Emulate Virtual Desktop" and enter a valid resolution (I used 1024x768). Once that is set you can launch the game in a window and it seems to all work fine.
If you need to run the game full screen you can change "renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1" in "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\BfVietnam\settings\VideoDefault.con" and that seems to work also, although when the game exist my screen resolution is stuck at the game resolution.
