What works
I was able to install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 (x86) and then install YNAB Pro. It installed OK but when I went to run the program the initialize window came up, stalled, and then closed. That's about as far as I could go due to the fact that I'm a newbie to Linux

Sometime it happens that YNAB comes up only with a black screen. It seems that your graphics card doesn't support fully OpenGL - you will need to disable it like this:
env LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 WINEPREFIX="/home/USERNAME/.wine_YNAB4" wine C:\\Program\ Files\\YNAB\ 4\\YNAB\ 4.exe
