What works

I tested Carrara 6.1 Pro.

The program installs and starts. The program renders and can go into each room. I changed nearly every rendering setting.

What does not

Changing the OpenGL setting in the interactive Render Settings.

Windows must be set to unmanaged in the Wine config.

For my system I had to turn off the Vertex settings also or the program would enter an endless loop if I minimized and then restored.

In Carrara 6 I had turn off the spooling of texture maps to disk.

The modeling room did not work for me even to edit or even to begin to edit a sphere. The sphere never showed up.

Workarounds

What was not tested

I Did not do extensive testing and the program was not that stable but I did run the program over a dozen times and completed a number of renders. what I did not test was modeling, or texturing.

I gave this a Garbage rating but I am not done testing or trying. Others have gotten Carrara to work with only minor changes in the Wine conf.
