What does not

Running outside an emulated desktop window—It’s a bit sluggish, even on a modern processor. I wouldn’t note this if the game required more than a Pentium.

Additional Comments

To make it work, first use winecfg to set it to use a virtual desktop of 800×600 otherwise it’ll crash immediately. You can change the resolution in-game and restart with a larger desktop later. Also, use regedit and look under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE→Software→CSO→Close Combat→3.50 Change PlayVideos from “01 00 00 00” to “00 00 00 00” and it’ll stop crashing with the stream error at launch.

Seems to be a problem in the file ddraw_thunks.c. Someone can help me solve this problem or is there any patch?
I tried running with wine-1.1.27 and wine-0.9.49, no success.

I am using slackware 12.2
