The PicAXE programming editor version 5.1.7 installer works flawlessly.
What does not
PicAXE Programming Editor. Currently a "Run time error 339" appears, stating that "wave32.ocx" cannot be found or isn't registered properly.
Scottc has provided the following work around:
To fix the wave32.ocx issue:
- Find a copy of mfc40.dll and copy it to your c:\windows\system32
- Register wave32.ocx manually: wine regsvr32 "C:\windows\system32\wave32.ocx"
After that, the editor runs and simulations work, although it's a bit buggy. "
What was not tested
Using the programmer on a chip. Testing to follow.
Thanks to Scottc for the wave32.ocx fix
