Forms 6i for Win32 includes the Net 8 client, Forms Builder, Forms Runtime, and a developer version of Forms Server.
Installation. Connecting to a database on a different machine. Opening, editing, compiling, and saving a form in Form Builder seems to work great.
What does not
Viewing forms using the Forms client/server runtime crashes. The runtime crashes when invoked from either the form builder or directly from the command line.
Some combo boxes do not display correctly, probably a font issue. The combo boxes looked right on older versions of Wine.
Loaded MS fonts to make things look better.
Had to go back to the installer and add the Oracle TCP/IP connector. (Should have been installed by default but wasn't)
Net 8 Assistant would not run until I removed symjit.dll (it has this problem on Windows too)
Without the runtime, Builder may or may not be considered useless depending on your needs. If forms are deployed to a different environment for running, then the builder could be considered "functional" under Wine.
Have not discovered if there is any workaround to make the runtime work yet.
What was not tested
Did not test Forms Server (the web server component)
